Biography
I provide leadership and direction for the development, implementation, and evaluation of the nurse navigation and Willow-Sage Wellness in the John Wayne Cancer Clinics & Margie Peterson Breast Center.
Patient navigation is provided for all patients diagnosed with breast or gynecologic cancer to help ensure continuity of care and that educational, emotional, and spiritual support needs are met.
With generous grant support the Willow Sage Wellness program provides free nutrition consultations, yoga classes, and stress reduction sessions to support long-term survivorship after a diagnosis of breast or gynecologic cancer. Nutrition consultations are also offered to those at high risk for breast or gynecologic cancer.
I am principal investigator on two research studies (mindful movement, and acupuncture for joint pain in breast cancer survivors).
