This is actually news from a few years ago but points to international interest in the notion of cancer being primarily preventable with nutrition as well as secondarily preventable in the sense of reducing recurrences. There are international ethnic differences, so this is important to review in each country and how some factors may change when people of various ethnicities migrate to other areas.
The institution called “Envision” brings together a number of pioneering figures from medicine, media and art.
Egypt’s first non-profit scientific research facility specializing in nutritional therapy for cancer is scheduled to launch on November 28, 2017.
The institution, which bears the name “Envision”, brings together a number of pioneering figures in medicine, media and art under the direction of the nutritionist Dr. Cherifa Aboul Fettouh who first presented the idea after a conference in France on the role of nutrition in the treatment of cancer.
“I was very fascinated by the idea, especially since I am convinced of the possibility of using nutrition to strengthen the immune system in order to fight cancer in the body,” said Aboul Fettouh.
England, France and Germany have already started research on the subject, and some hospitals offer patients the option of chemotherapy, nutritional treatment, or a combination of both, Aboul Fettouh explained.
The institution currently brings together 15 founding members, medical specialists and civil society institutions such as Misr El Kheir and Orman Charity Association as well as representatives and actors of the United Nations (UN).
